The Simpsons are famous for their couch gags and we remember tuning in as young ’uns to catch the ‘couch bit’ so we’d know if we’d seen the episode before or not.
The sense of triumph when it was an episode you hadn’t seen was probably the highlight of our day – we may have had sad lives – and there was utter disgust if, God forbid, it was an episode we’d seen many times before.
This new Christmas couch bit is great and there are even some thinly-veiled messages sewn throughout the video so have a look and see can you spot any of them.
Our only bone of contention is that there isn’t any Ralph Wiggum, which is a huge disappointment for us…
But the video is still good without the lovable rogue so try not to be too upset at his absence…
