Whenever JOE thinks of Halloween there are a few vivid memories that instantly spring to mind.

Trick or Treating was usually followed by eating so much sweets that we were bouncing off the walls due to a sugar buzz and despite our parents reservations, we also devoured endless amounts of horror movies, the decapitation scene from The Omen keeps getting better.

Just like bobbing for apples, The Simpsons- Treehouse of Horror episodes were such a mainstay of the evening that we actually planned our nights activity around the show.

Kids have it so easy today with this instant recording malarkey.

Who can forget their classic parodies of The Shining, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Dracula, King Kong and many others.

This year it seems that the creators are returning to the wonderful films of Stanley Kubrick as seen by this teaser clip featuring some of his most famous films.

2001: A Space Odyssey, A Clockwork Orange, Eyes Wide Shut, Barry Lyndon and Full Metal Jacket all feature here.

Take a look.
