Video: This animated sketch about an Irish lad and his Dad watching Game of Thrones is very funny

“Isn’t that the young fella there from that other film, At Home Alone?”

“Isn’t that the young fella there from that other film, At Home Alone?”

We still love them and everything, but plenty of Irish youngsters will be able to relate to that annoying feeling when you’re trying to watch the TV only to be interrupted by your folks asking a series of inane questions about the programme you’re trying to watch.

It’s fair to say that Game of Thrones requires more explanation than most TV shows and the type of dialogue contained within the sketch by an Irish group called Ham and Carrots has no doubt been repeated in Irish sitting rooms up and down the country at some stage.

We won’t spoil it for you and will let you watch it for yourself above but we particularly enjoyed the bits about the comical dwarves and Macauley Culket and if you’d like to see more of this type of thing from the Ham and Carrots lads – the brainchild of Liam Hallihan, Trevor Kiely and Johnny Willis – you can check out more of their material here.

Hat-tip to Liam Hallihan for sending this one our way
