Video: This is what The Sopranos intro would look like if it was filmed in Dublin

This is excellent

Conor Heneghan

And who better to play Tony Soprano than Patrick Ward from Love/Hate?

Nothing is or can ever be as good as the original, but of all the imitations of the famous intro at the start of every episode of The Sopranos, this might be our favourite yet.

Starring John Connors (Patrick Ward from Love/Hate) in the Tony Soprano role, it was shot by independent filmmaker Gerard Walsh ahead of an appearance by Sopranos creator David Chase at Digital Biscuit 2015: Dublin’s Film and Technology Forum later this month.

*INCOMING LOVE/HATE SPOILER ALERT*

As the guy who took out Nidge at the end of the last season of Love/Hate, Connors is the perfect choice as Tony Soprano and as a tribute to probably the greatest intro in the history of TV, it’s pretty much perfect.

Great work all round.

Hat-tip to Gerard Walsh for sending this one our way
