Just six more days to wait folks.
That’s right, in six days’ time, one of the most popular RTE series of modern times will return for a fifth season and will make Sunday nights far more tolerable for the hundreds of thousands of fans the show has built up over the last few years.
We don’t know a whole lot about what’s going to happen in the new season – no harm there, spoiler alerts are no craic – apart from the fact that it picks up two weeks after where it left off and that some of it will take place in Spain.
The latest trailer doesn’t give much away either, bar hinting at a possible dalliance between new character Paulie (Johnny Ward) and Nidge’s niece Siobhan.
It’s enough to keep us ticking over for the time being, however, even if the first episode of the new season can’t come quickly enough.
