What the hell was that?
It doesn’t take a lot for something that’s being discussed on Prime Time to get the nation talking and while that was the case again this evening, it was a little different than usual when technical difficulties on the show meant that what you can see in the vine below was on a loop for a significant period of time, to the bafflement (and eventual amusement) of viewers everywhere.
RTE Managing Director Kevin Bakhurst apologised for the technical issues on Twitter this evening…
Many apologies to those watching RTEOne and #rtept – the engineers were aware and trying to sort. Not acceptable fault. Infuriating.

…but while there will no doubt be an investigation into what went wrong, it provided the material for a great laugh on Twitter, as a quick glance at the #irishukrainiansnotrussians hashtag will quickly illustrate.
It’s sort of catchy isn’t it?
