Dare we say it, it’s adorable.
We hardly need to elaborate upon our admiration and fondness for Tom Hardy.
One of the finest actors of his generation, he’s one of the reasons we love the likes of Inception, Warrior, Mad Max: Fury Road, The Revenant and Peaky Blinders, all of which have cemented the ‘tough guy’ status he wears as comfortably as a dressing gown and slippers.
On New Year’s Eve, Hardy turned his hand to something completely different, when he read the bedtime story, You Must Bring a Hat, by Simon Philip and Kate Hindley, to an audience of millions on CBeebies.
You may well have caught the show in its entirety at the time, but if you didn’t, treat yourself to the soothing sounds of Hardy (accompanied by his dog Woody) as he makes a children’s tale sound like chocolate for the ears.
Warning: You might just fall into a deep and very satisfying sleep.
