WATCH: Game of Thrones and Father Ted get their opening titles merged and it’s amazing

Paul Moore

Craggy Island is dark and full with ponds of terror.

Every corner of the Seven Kingdoms is fraught with danger, so in many ways, it’s exactly like Craggy Island.

Think about it. In the Red Keep at King’s Landing, Cersei enjoys sipping on her wine while in the Craggy Island parochial house, Father Jack is happy to neck any bottles of drink, Toilet Duck or Dreamy Sleepy Nightie Snoozy Snooze that he finds.

The similarities don’t end there though. Father Ted could rival Littlefinger when it comes to telling lies and the most fearsome creature that was roaming the Craggy Island moors, The Beast , was far more fearsome than any of Daenerys’ three dragons. Drogon doesn’t light up at night or have four ears, two of them are for listening and the other two are kind of back-up ears, while his claws aren’t as big as cups and for some reason, her dragon doesn’t have a tremendous fear of stamps.

Even the locations that are used on both shows are the same. Just like the cinema in Craggy Island, the brothels in Westeros are also home to the type of nudey thing while the Holy Stone of Clonrichert clearly has more magical properties than The Wall.

Thank the gods, both old and new, that the talented team at PioneerFactoryPLTD have managed to combine the opening titles of these two wonderful shows. You’ll need to have a few looks at this clip below because the level of detail is superb.

We noticed John & Mary’s shop, the Caves, the Field (it isn’t really a field but it has less rocks in it than most places) and the world’s most famous picnic location to name but a few.

Feck off winter!
