WATCH: People think they’ve spotted a “behind the bike shed” moment in Harry Potter

Alan Loughnane

Childhood ruined…

Many people are claiming to have seen what can only be described as a “behind the bike shed moment” in one of the Harry Potter movie’s closing credits.

While the Harry Potter books and accompanying films are written and shot in a way that is suitable for both an older and a younger audience, the creators did manage to put in a sneaky nod towards a more mature audience.

Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban is in our opinion, the best of all the Harry Potter films and the first one to really capture the essence of the Harry Potter books.

It was directed by Alfonso Cuarón and released all the way back in 2004 (yes, we feel old as well), but unfortunately, it was the only film in the series that Cuarón chose to direct.

You may remember a very useful prop that was brought into play in that movie, The Marauder’s Map, which allowed users to see where every single person in the castle was at any given moment with little footstep icons.

Spotted by the Daily Star, it’s obviously been around a while but has only gained widespread traction in recent days, there seems to have been a nod to an “intimate” moment being shared between two people on the map.

As the closing credits role, the map is being used as a backdrop and it scans over many sets of footprints…

Now what action do we know can be done in this stance…?

Rus Wetherell who created the credits, said that while it was intended as a kiss on the cheek, there was undoubtedly “something there that was amusing for adults in the audience and kids wouldn’t really understand”.

Did you spot it?
