“There’s a new ginger in town.”
Netflix unveiled a whole host of new trailers and new shows today and an Irish girl is going to front a new series called Anne.
Amybeth McNulty will play the lead role in the ‘coming-of-age’ story which will premiere on Netflix on May 12.
Here’s a quick blurb about Amybeth’s character, according to the show’s producers.
“Anne a young orphaned girl who, after an abusive childhood spent in orphanages and the homes of strangers, is mistakenly sent to live with an aging sister and brother.”

The teenager, who was born in Donegal, had previous roles were in Clean Break and Agatha Raisin and won the new role after a worldwide search by the makers of Anne.
