5 acts you didn’t know you wanted to see at this year’s Electric Picnic

We're counting down the days

JOE

The line-up for Electric Picnic has us pretty darn giddy.

It’s not just the head-liners either. Of course, we can’t wait to see Blur, Florence and all the other big names, but there’s a glut of other lesser-known acts we can’t wait to catch.

Here are 5 of them…

Maurice Fulton

If house music is your thing, then you probably already know who this man is.

If not, let us do a little introducing: Maurice Fulton is a DJ and producer who has been creating some of the best dance and electronic tunes in existence for about 2 decades now.

His sets are infused with Loft and Garage classics edited by his own hand which creates a wonderfully unique edge to his work.

At EP, he’ll be performing in the always brilliant CASA BACARDÍ Stage.

Le Galaxie

It’s been a good year for Le Galaxie. They stole the show at The Sea Sessions, gained a massive amount of new fans and even got to spin the Tombola of Truth with JOE.

They’ll be rocking out on the main stage at EP.

My Fellow Sponges

This Galway based band have been a big deal out West for a while. It’s only in the past few months that the rest of country has begun to take notice.

Their experimental, jazz infused folk (you try categorising them!) will be performing on the Body and Soul stage at EP.

Joey Negro

Joey Negro will be bringing his blend of disco-house to the CASA BACARDÍ Stage.

He is a house music legend, who has over 200 releases including 12 UK pop crossovers. His single ‘Make a Move on Me’ is a track that’s a staple of any self-respecting club DJ’s set.

SOAK

We witnessed the wonder of SOAK first hand when she performed for our Sunday Sessions. A truly incredible artist, who is set to wow the crowd while playing the main stage at Electric Picnic.

So there you have it, 5 acts you didn’t know you wanted to see at this year’s Electric Picnic.
