Bulmers Forbidden Fruit festival is just around the corner and we’re already super excited.
The June bank holiday weekend is set to be a good one, with a whole bunch of global superstars making their way to Kilmainham for three days of amazing music.
Here are a just a few of the reasons it will be one of the festivals of the summer.
The biggest name in UK hip-hop is headlining the opening night
When it comes to European urban music, it quite simply doesn’t get any bigger than Dizzee Rascal. When he is not busy winning Mercury Music Prizes or picking up the Brit Award for Best Male, he is collaborating with global superstars, such as Calvin Harris and Robbie Williams.
Seeing him perform ‘Bonkers’ in the grounds of Kilmainham will be epic. He’s on the Original Stage at 21:15 Friday, June 3.

The rest of Friday’s line-up is just as impressive
Katy B, Pusha T and Leftfield (DJ set) are just a few of the other acts set to take to the stage on the opening night.
This isn’t the sort of festival that needs time to warm-up. There are five stages filled with brilliant acts, from start to finish.

Saturday’s line-up will knock your socks off
Tame Impala are one of the most interesting rock bands out there right now and they’re going to be strutting their stuff in South Dublin on June 4. They’ll be onstage at 21:30.

Other Saturday acts include Jungle, Battles and Steve Mason. Now, that’s a serious line-up.

The festival closes with a bang
Underworld play on the Sunday from 21:15 and we reckon their performance of this tune will be worth the entrance fee alone.

Flume, Groove Armada (DJ set) and Klingande are just a few of the other acts ready to give you a bank-holiday Sunday you’ll never forget.

The nights don’t end when the bands leave the stage
Official after parties will be taking place all-over the city every night of the festival. There will be parties in Button Factory, The Grand Social, Wigwam, Tengu and The Sugar Club.
Detroit Swindle, Jungle and Groove Armada are just a few of the acts who will be taking to the decks.
