The singer cancelled due to illness…
Christy Moore is said to be suffering from an “ongoing severe lung infection” and, as a result, has unfortunately had to cancel his Vicar Street Christmas concerts in Dublin.
The gigs were due to take place on 29 and 30 December and it is believed that they will now be rescheduled for the new year, with all tickets purchased continuing to be valid for the new dates.
A statement from the gig promoters, Aiken Promotions, said “Christy Moore will not perform his scheduled concerts at Vicar Street on 29 and 30 December due to an ongoing severe lung infection. Sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.”
Here’s hoping for a speedy recovery for the iconic Irish singer and fingers crossed he’ll be back to his brilliant best in no time at all.
