We’re massive fans of Bruce Springsteen here in JOE Towers and The Boss’ latest kind gesture just makes us love him even more.
Billboard report that the legendary rocker auctioned off a lasagne dinner at his own home in aid of US veterans. He was appearing at the big ‘Stand Up For Heroes’ event in New York where he played five songs including his classic anthem which condemned the treatment of American soldiers after Vietnam, Born in the USA.
Not only that, but he also gave up an hour long guitar lesson and a ride in his motorcycle sidecar for $300,000. That’s some wedge of cash in fairness for an hour long guitar lesson, but when it’s being given by one of the great exponents of the guitar, we’re sure that whoever stumped up the cash, thought it was great value indeed.
