We would sell our own granny to hear this.
We remember a hell of a lot from the music scene of 1991 – grunge was ab0ut to take over the world once everyone had stopped doing the Bartman, but this one completely passed us by.
Mick McCarthy and Eurovision/Lyrics Board/housewives’ favourite Linda Martin recorded a single together called ‘Did You Ever?’ and it charted ahead of The Saw Doctors, REM, The Stunning and the ever magnificent C&C Music Factory.
Yet we have no idea what it sounds like, or whether Mick’s thick Barnsley brogue can hold a note.

It even rode high(ish) in the charts before disappearing into a musical black hole.

We urge you all to rifle through your dad’s old record collection to see if this still exists. Do it, and mail us at editorial@JOE.ie if you come across this particular piece of buried treasure.
