The move comes after Thursday night’s controversial gig at the Odyssey in Belfast.

Dutch DJ Hardwell will not be playing his show in Edinburgh tonight after local authorities withdrew his licence.

Seven people were hospitalised for intoxication during his set in Belfast on Thursday.

Hardwell went on to play the O2 in Dublin last night, although no serious incidents were reported by the increased Garda presence.

“We are extremely sorry to have to announce the cancellation of I AM HARDWELL Edinburgh […] After a lengthy meeting the local promoter has had with the City Chambers in Edinburgh, licencing board and the Police Scotland, the decision to withdraw the license has been made by the local authorities,” read a statement on his Facebook page.
