Electric Picnic gets underway on Friday and there are some wonderful acts to see in Stradbally with LCD Soundsystem,The Chemical Brothers and Lana Del Rey all headlining.
After the day-by-day breakdown was released, music fans are probably finalising their travel plans and checking the schedule to catch their must-see acts. As per the norm, there are still a few last minute questions that need to be answered and drink is always one.
If you’re heading to Electric Picnic then it’s very likely that you’ll be having one or two beverages but as always, please be responsible if you’re doing so.
If you plan on taking some cans with you then you’ll be pleased to know that anyone that’s staying in the campsite is entitled to bring 48 cans with them. You’ll have to wait until 1am to bring those tins into the main arena though because that’s when all the bars close. It goes without saying that glass bottles will be confiscated.
After 1am, you’re allowed to bring up to 4 cans of beer/cider into the arena. Good stuff.
Please note that excessive amounts of alcohol may be refused entry to the campsite/arena though. We can only imagine what constitutes an excessive amount.
Another thing to note, if you’ve got a bit of money and you don’t fancy carrying a slab of cans with you then the EP organisers have just the thing.
Yet again, they’re running an on-site off licence where you can pre-order your drink for colelction. Now is the time to get those orders in though because they stop taking orders from midday tomorrow.

- Place your order here before 12pm on Tuesday 30th August 2016
- Come to the off licence on the Jimi Hendrix campsite from 12.00 noon Friday, Saturday and 12.30pm Sunday
- Collect your order with your email address and order number
(don’t forget to bring I.D. to confirm your name and verify your age) - Pay for your order on collection
- Enjoy your cold drinks!
