A gig by one of Ireland’s best live bands is a great start to the Christmas season…

2014 has been a cracking year for Niamh Farrell and Podge McNamee, better known as the talented leaders/two main pieces of the bread that holds together the delicious musical stylings of HamsandwicH.

The band sold out their first headline gig at the Olympia theatre, supported the Arcade Fire at Marley Park and blew the roof of the tent at this year’s Electric Picnic. Not bad at all.

JOE was fortunate enough to see them play at Stradbally and we left the tent on such a buzz that we were itching to see them play again.

We missed their acclaimed set at Hard Working Class Heroes after aliens abducted us and that’s why we’re delighted to say that the band will be performing an acoustic set at Dublin’s Unitarian Church on December 7th.

The band are also releasing a new track tomorrow entitled ‘Apollo’ which is taken from their as-yet untitled third album and if it’s as good as their last record then music fans will be in for a treat.

Tickets for the gig are €20 and go on sale from Ticketmaster tomorrow.
