Rest in peace, Merle.
Country music legend Merle Haggard, best known for songs like Okie From Muskogee and The Fightin’ Side Of Me, passed away today at the age of 79.
He died from complications due to pneumonia, his agent told press.
Tributes have flown in for a man who gave so much to country music, from other icons of the genre such as Charlie Daniels and Carrie Underwood:
