Ireland’s best band competition is about to start again. Here’s why you have to get involved in Red Bull Bedroom Jam 2013.
There is no end of new band competitions out there but few are as clever, or as useful to the bands involved, as Red Bull Bedroom Jam.
All the details can be found here, and in the above video, but the basics are that you just have to shoot a video and upload it to the site. From there, it is up to you to generate enough buzz on social media (Twitter, Facebook, you know yourself) and if you top the Buzz Charts Red Bull will come and film you in action on your bedroom. Not only that, but the weekly winners can win really big too.
Yes, three of the six weekly winners will get to play at some of Ireland’s biggest festivals this summer and all the winners will play in the final showcase show at Whelans in Dublin at the end of August.
The overall winner gets loads of new equipment and a session at Grouse Lodge studios.
Here at JOE we will be getting involved, showcasing some of our favourite bands and keeping you up to date on who is storming the Buzz Charts each week.
Last year’s winners of the Bedroom Jam were the rather good Walking On Cars and they are now doing very well for themselves, thank you very much.
