Le Boom, much the like the boom itself, are back.
Rising Dublin dance duo Le Boom continue their ascent with a brand new track, ‘Animal’, which enjoys its official premiere here on JOE.
‘Animal’ is a sharp distillation of what we’ve come to expect from Christy Leech and Aimie Mallon, packed full of pop-friendly electro-house hooks while searching for bigger and greater things.
With a sold out hometown gig on the horizon at District 8 as part of their latest tour, Le Boom have picked the perfect time to unleash their fourth single.
The song looks at loneliness, and how that feeling can represent the unspoken connection and perhaps even the attraction between two seemingly confident strangers.
“Privately, we might be very lonely and anxious but when we go out at night we can portray a very different version of ourselves,” says vocalist Christy Leech.
“It’s like we can become something different. Then when we are out, we can recognise our own loneliness in a stranger and be attracted to that.”
‘Animal’ hits streaming platforms on Friday 26 October, but you can enjoy it here first by checking it out below.
Le Boom’s debut EP is set to land in early 2019.
You can catch the band on tour on the following dates across November and December:
