Where: Whelans, Dublin

It’s not often you get the chance to see an Italian rock band live in the flesh, but Marlene Kuntz are appearing in Whelans for this gig and we reckon this could be a cracker of a gig.

Who: Choice Music Prize
Date: March 3rd
Where: Vicar Street, Dublin

The annual awards show for all that is good in Irish music returns this year with live performances from bands such as Le Galaxie, Ham Sandwich, Villagers, Gavin James and SOAK to name but a few.

Our own Joe Harrington is a judge so we expect fireworks.

Who: Wolf Alice
Date: March 4th
Where: Mandela Hall, Belfast

BRIT Award nominees Wolf Alice are on the island doing a couple of gigs and will be in the fantastic Mandela Hall in Belfast for this show.

Their army of fans is growing larger with each passing week and you can see what all the fuss is about.

Where: Olympia Theatre, Dublin

Legendary rockers The Cult bring their unique sound to the majestic Olympia Theatre this Saturday night for a night of loud nostalgic music.

To my mind, She Sells Sanctuary has still got the greatest opening to a song ever and you can quote me on that.

Who: Lee Scratch Perry
Date: March 5th
Where: Roisin Dubh, Galway

Legendary producer Lee Scratch Perry is now 79, but still maintains that exuberance that separates him from many of his peers.

The man who has worked with Bob Marley in the past is out west this Saturday night. Go and treat yourself to a bit of musical history.
