JOE’s New Song of the Day #311: MathMan & The Hypnotic Brass Ensemble

Paddy McKenna

Introducing MathMan & The Hypnotic Brass Ensemble.

What do you get when you combine a legendary Chicago hip-hop collective and one of Dublin’s brightest emerging music producers?

Well, this absolutely delicious slice of classic hip hop – ‘Where I’m From Ft. DJ Tuki’.

MathMan, aka Adam Fogarty from Dublin group The Animators, first worked with HBE on his group’s 2013 cut ‘Those Were The Days’ and the collaboration was born.

The track below is the first release from MathMan & The HBE’s new album – ‘Hyp Hop’ – and if you’re looking for some effortless rhyming and upbeat hip hop to instantly affirm your life, look no further.

Leaving the musical landscape in the very capable hands of MathMan, the HBE put the brass to one side momentarily to exhibit their love of hip hop and their natural flare and talent for lyricism with raw, authentic flows and wordplay.

‘Hyp Hop’ is on release now and can be purchased in all the usual places.

P.s. The artwork is beaut.
