The lads from Kildare are keeping her lit.
Winter Heart are a duo from Athy, Co. Kildare. They are childhood pals, Mikey Aldridge on guitar and backing vocals and James O’Donnell on lead vocals.
They are still finding their feet and pride themselves on their honest lyrics. Mikey told us “We really take pride in what we write, the lyrics are all very honest and from the heart about our lives and we think that’s why people have responded so well to our music.”
” ‘Light A Match’ is a song about that feeling of being stuck in a rut and not knowing where to go or what to do. It’s about taking steps to be the person you can be.”

They plan to release more songs this year before launching a debut EP, but first they’ve got some live shows to do. One such show is support for Keywest at the Marquee by the Sea in Co.Clare this coming August.
