A ‘spek’ of genius.
Spek is a Cork based rapper and beat maker working on the doomy side of hip hop. He has performed at multiple festivals on the Irish circuit and warmed up for international heavyweights such as Danny Brown, Immortal Technique and Shabazz places.
The Spekulativ Fiktion track is lifted from Clare producer, Mankyy’s “Character Development” EP which dropped earlier this year on ‘non-record label’, Unscene Music. The project also features Limerick’s Jonen Dekay, Same D4ence and Aswell.
The Character Development crew unleashed a moody rap cypher video a couple of months back to celebrate the EP and will play the Bulmers Live Lounge on the night of Saturday June 24th at Body & Soul.
Meanwhile Spek and Mankyy are finalising a new collaborative project which will be released this Summer.
