Shine On You Crazy Diamond
20 years after Pink Floyd’s last studio album, The Division Bell, the band announced yesterday that they will be releasing a new album. The news leaked out after Polly Samson, the wife of Pink Floyd’s lead singer-guitarist, David Gilmour, tweeted this over the weekend.
Btw Pink Floyd album out in October is called “The Endless River”. Based on 1994 sessions is Rick Wright’s swansong and very beautiful.

The news was also supported by Pink Floyd’s longtime back-up singer, Durga McBroom-Hudson, who confirmed the story via her facebook page.
The band have now come out with an official statement saying that the album will consist of “mainly ambient and instrumental music” which was recorded during the sessions for their last album, 1994’s ‘The Division Bell’. The album will also include music recorded with former member Richard Wright , who died in 2008 aged 65
So what do you guys think? The Endless River would be the band’s 15th studio album and JOE is excited. We will always have some love for Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here and The Wall but can they recapture the magic?
