The Meteor Choice Music Prize nominees for the best Irish album of 2014 were announced this afternoon.

Previous winners of the prize include Villagers, Jape, Two Door Cinema Club, The Divine Comedy and Julie Feeney.

Here are the 10 acts up for this year’s award:

Aphex Twin – Syro
Delorentos – Night Becomes Light
The Gloaming – The Gloaming
Hozier – Hozier
James Vincent McMorrow – Post Tropical
Sinead O’Connor – I’m Not Bossy, I’m The Boss
Damien Rice – My Favourite Faded Fantasy
The Riptide Movement – Getting Through
U2 – Songs Of Innocence
We Cut Corners – Think Nothing

The winning album will be announced at the Meteor Choice Music Prize live event in Vicar Street in Dublin on Thursday, March 5.
