PICS: The rumours of a Guns N’ Roses Irish gig have taken a very positive turn

Paul Moore

Fans of the band could be heading back to Paradise City very soon.

A few weeks ago, we told you about the widespread rumours that were circulating regarding a possible Irish date for the legendary rock’n roll band Guns N’ Roses.

While the original lineup took a hiatus for almost almost two decades, Axl Rose has kept the band going at various stages with interchanging members. Now that Slash and Duff McKagan have returned to the band for a reunion tour, extra dates around the world have been rumoured for quite some time.

In a post to their official Twitter page, GnR are asking for ‘Patience’ from their fans.

You may already know that this is a song title from their 1988 album G N’ R Lies, but there’s a strong Irish angle also because various cryptic posters have appeared in parts of Dublin that contain the same message.

JOE reader Alan Murphy spotted these posters on Brunswick Street and Prussia Street, Dublin.

It’s clear that they’re teasing some sort of announcement that’s related to Guns N’ Roses because ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ and ‘Patience’ are also branded on these posters.

While nothing is official yet, this looks like an incredibly positive sign that an Irish date could be imminent.

Anyone for a date in Croke Park or the Aviva?

Welcome

Patience
