Video: Bruce Springsteen plays two iconic tracks with U2 during their recent gig in New York

When Bono met The Boss...again.

When Bono met The Boss…again.

There are very few acts that can upstage the global behemoth that are U2 but I’d wager that Bruce Springsteen would give Bono, Larry, Adam and The Edge a run for their money. They probably have a fiver to spare.

U2 have recently made Madison Square Garden their home though after a marathon eight-night session in the famous venue but it seems like the lads still haven’t found what they’re looking for when it comes to a rousing finale.

Enter New Jersey’s most famous son.

The Boss was just a paying fan that was enjoying the gig, in the company of Hillary and Bill Clinton I might add, before Bono asked him to join the band on stage to play backing guitar on their classic hit from The Joshua Tree along with Ben. E. King’s iconic track ‘Stand By Me’.

You have to give it to Bruce, he definitely wasn’t born to run away from an excited crowd as he delighted fans with this performance.
