Powerful stuff

Powerful stuff.

Well over 30 years on from his death, the great Bob Marley continues to wield a powerful influence on the world of music.

Marley fans are feeling particularly nostalgic this month because had he still been alive, he would have turned 70 on February 6.

To mark that anniversary, Marley’s family have released ‘Easy Skanking in Boston ’78’, a collection of never before seen videos and audio clips from a gig in Boston in June 1978, just three years before his death.

Video footage of Marley performing ‘War’, from the 1976 album ‘Rastaman Vibration’ has been released on the Bob Marley channel on YouTube and it will be one of seven songs from the 13-song set to feature on Easy Skanking in Boston ’78.

Three decades on, he’s still sorely missed.
