It’s catchy as hell, we’ll give them that.
Summer is nigh, so as well as having exams to worry about around this time, third-level students across the country will be attending big social events to finish off the year in style.
Two lads in the well-known teacher training institution, St. Patrick’s College in Dublin, missed out on tickets to tonight’s Clubs and Socs ball on the day they were made available.
Despite their best efforts in the time since, they have been unable to procure tickets to the social event of the season.
Desperate, the lads in question, Andrew Smyth and Sean Bermingham, penned a tune about their plight as a last-gasp plea to gain entry to the event in the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Santry.
With Andrew on the mandolin and Sean on the guitar and with a few friends on hand to help out in the accompanying music video, the lads penned a lovely tune in the hope that they’d secure a place at the ball, potentially as entertainment on the night.

From the looks of things, it appears as if it might have worked.
We’ve since had confirmation that the lads did get the tickets and well deserved too.
Well played, lads.
Hat-tip to Eoghan O’Connor for his help with this one
