JOE reader Sarah King spent a week in Lourdes last week and had the pleasure of meeting William Stokes, a 23-year-old who has been living with the genetic disorder Hurler Syndrome.
Sarah describes William as “the most positive, happy, caring and selfless person I have ever met even though he has been through more than we could imagine with his condition.”
She also says that he, “spent his week in Lourdes putting others first and making sure we were all happy. When asked what he wanted to achieve in life, he told me he just wanted to make people happy.”
Sarah then asked William what he wanted to achieve for himself, and he replied that he wanted to record a CD some day.
