We all know that The Pogues have plenty of fans in Ireland and abroad, but Shane McGowan and Co. could be about to win a few more loyal followers after this brilliant mashup, featuring football’s most famous Conference South supporter.
Fairytale of New York is probably The Pogues’ most iconic and famous song, although this particular JOE is partial to Rainy Night in Soho or If I Should Fall From Grace with God, but this collaboration with the internet’s latest viral star made us laugh.
Unfortunately, it’s unlikely that you’ll hear this version being played on the radio or in clubs around Ireland, which really is a shame.
