Tune!
If you haven’t yet seen the superb Oasis documentary Supersonic, and you really want to watch it without a hint of what’s in store, then consider this to be your spoiler alert warning.
Ok, we trust that you’re still reading on but only because you’re proper mad for it. Liam and Noel would be so proud of you!
As we’ve said previously, the film is such a treat for Oasis fans because it features so many wonderful anecdotes, unseen footage and stories about the band. One of the best stories in Mat Whitecross‘s film revolves around the amount of time that it took Noel Gallagher to write their remarkable tune, Supersonic.
In Noel’s own words “Someone had sent out for Chinese or fish and chips or something – or Chinese fish and chips. I went in the back room, and as bizarre as it sounds, wrote ‘Supersonic’ in about however long it takes six guys to eat a Chinese meal.”
Have a listen to the whole anecdote here and while you’re at it, reacquaint your earholes with one of the most defining rock ‘n roll tunes from the ’90s.
