Dublin Bus reveal how many of us fancy other people on the bus

Next stop: lurve.

Dublin Bus have released the results of a 4,500-person survey today, and whoever came up with the questions was particularly interested in the bus-based love-lives of public transport users.

The survey revealed that 23% of Dublin Bus-riders have developed a crush on one of their fellow bus buddies (and those are just the ones who are admitting it).

15% of respondents also said that they’ve gotten off at the wrong stop just to chat to somebody else who was getting off (you creeps).

Sadly, the survey did not reveal how many people have joined the fourteen-and-a-half feet high club.

The survey did, however, confirm that one-in-five people pretend to be on their phones to avoid talking to somebody they know, so if your spot your mate with his phone to his ear… take the hint.

A similar number of people have also experienced the painful public humiliation of saying hello to somebody they mistakenly thought they knew.

Irish people are particularly proud of their unfailing devotion to thanking their bus drivers, something that the Dublin Bus survey has confirmed, with 90% of respondents claiming that they always thank their driver.
