Don’t worry, traffic is flying through it now.
Barely any creature, man or beast, has caused as much chaos in Ireland in recent years as the seagull and another one was up to no good on Dublin’s northside this evening.
Dublin’s Port Tunnel had to be closed briefly this evening after a seagull entered the tunnel shortly before 5pm, when traffic in the capital would have been reaching its beak peak.
A seagull (yes a seagull!) has entered the Port Tunnel which has been closed northbound as a result.

Thankfully, normality was restored only minutes later, but given the spate of seagull attacks in various parts of the country in recent years, this may have been just a warning before they come back en masse to play holy flock before the summer’s out.
