Record passenger numbers will see Dublin Airport create almost 200 new jobs this year

Carl Kinsella

Good news for the jobs market.

Dublin Airport facilitated the flights of an unprecedented 25 million passengers last year. These record numbers have pushed Ireland’s busiest airports to increase its workforce.

Kevin Toland, Chief executive of the DAA, has said “Dublin Airport had a fantastic year of passenger growth in 2015, which is good news for the Irish economy, for tourism, and for job creation, both at the airport and in the wider economy.”

The added roughly 170 employees to its workforce in 2015, and is expected to hire roughly the same amount in the coming year, according to RTÉ.

Toland has said that the jobs being created will primarily involve customer-facing roles. The Dublin Airport careers portal can be accessed here.
