The Late Late Show lamb is in flying form as his owners address the controversy

Were ewe worried?

Ice Cube, Kevin Hart, Chris Eubank and Dynamo may have been the big draws on the most recent episode of The Late Late Show but one segment provoked quite a reaction on Twitter.

A newborn lamb appeared on the show alongside entrepreneur TJ Gormley of Cormac Tagging, who was demonstrating an invention that makes the process of tagging lambs on the farm much more humane.

Some viewers complained that the segment made them feel uncomfortable and that it was an act of animal cruelty.

Cormac Tagging are the lamb’s owners – they tells us that they’re now calling him Dynamo and that he’s a Bred pedigree Beltex ewe – but the company got in contact with JOE to give us an update after the aforementioned online concern.

They say “He is in great form today, running around with his buddies. He had a good sleep and good refreshments from his Mom on the way home last night”.

Regarding some of the comments on Twitter, Cormac Tagging had this to say “The whole debate that has erupted is about understanding rural life and I feel perhaps the social media commentators are not accustomed to an ordinary day in a sheep farmers lambing shed”.

“It’s a really pity there isn’t more Irish farmers on Twitter and social media. The idea came from a Donegal farmer who had 300 lambs in the last four weeks and he asked me to design something to make initial inspections and first jobs easier for him”, they add.
