He makes a lot of valid points here…
You’ve probably heard all about cruel killing of Cecil the lion over the last day or two and it seems that everyone across the world is appalled by the story and rightly so.
Kimmel starts off by recounting the story of Cecil the lion and how he was being researched for a number of years and was much loved by locals in Zimbabwe.
He then goes on to discuss the history of the hunter, Walter Palmer, a Minnesota dentist and hunting enthusiast, who had paid $55,000 to hunt, track and kill an African lion.
It is clear throughout that Kimmel is disgusted by the incident and he struggles to maintain his composure at times to try and give a balanced account of the events.
He even went as far as saying that if Palmer took viagra instead of hunting innocent animals he could “save himself from being the most hated man in America who never advertised jell-o pudding”, which is a clear reference to Bill Cosby.
