The water charges protest was the big talking point in Ireland this week, but it was making headlines elsewhere in the world too.
The Doha-based news network Al Jazeera is the largest network in the Middle East with multiple specialty channels broadcast in various languages and recently the station featured a report in English on Wednesday’s water charges protest.
The station sent Laurence Lee out onto the streets of Dublin to talk to the people and the results were quite interesting. At least they didn’t record anyone acting the maggot… thankfully.
They did, however, miss their chance to showcase some of the funnier protest signs.
