Batman Ben Farrell passed away earlier this week, his funeral took place today.
Ben was diagnosed with a tumour on Christmas Eve. He died just before beginning treatment at DeVos Children’s Hospital Michigan.
At his funeral in Arbour Hill, Dublin, Ben was celebrated for his energy and the love he brought to this world. He was five-years-old.
Speaking at the funeral Father Shortall said; “There was something otherworldly about Ben. He was mature beyond his years… in Michigan, Valerie his mother, said, ‘I wish I could take your pain from you,’ and Ben said ‘No mammy, I wouldn’t want to give it to you, I can handle it.”
Over the last seven months Ben drew a nation into his smile and thousands of people came together to support him and his family.
The tribute video to Ben was posted by his family on Facebook and the messages from Batman Ben’s fans have been coming in from everywhere.
