Let’s make it interesting today and go for a Mick Halford double. One at home and one abroad within the space of an hour.
An each-way double on HAWKHILL in the 2.55 at Thurles and HUJAYLEA at Meydan in Dubai at 3.55 could provide a nice return, even if both just get into the places.
Hujaylea won three times in Ireland at the back end of the season and, although he’s badly drawn today, there’s a god chance he’ll get into the money, while Hawkhill ran well on his first start over hurdles and should improve from that.
The hot pot at Thurles today will undoubtedly be For Bill. She’ll probably win but I’d leave her out of any multiple bets as a sure thing. She hasn’t shown her best of late and at odds-on she should opposed.
CURRAGH GREY (Thurles, 1.55) owes followers nothing after she won for us at 16/1 and she could be back in the money today if all goes well. She meets a few wrong at the weights but has enough ability to be prominent.
