Our deepest condolences to his family.
Very sad news has reached us this evening as a 16-year-old footballer for one of Dublin’s most famous schoolboy soccer clubs has tragically passed away.
The teenager was playing for Belvedere FC against local rivals St Kevin’s Boys when the incident happened.
In a short statement, Belvedere FC said that the young man tragically died while playing a match this afternoon and that his name won’t be released just yet as a sign of respect to his grieving family.
Our deepest sympathies to his friends, family and team-mates.
