3pts win – Crystal Morning – Tipperary 7.55

The in-form Fran Berry has two rides for Jessie Harrington at Tipperary tonight and both have standout chances in my view.

I’m sweet on CRYSTAL MORNING breaking her duck after a credible third at Leopardstown earlier this month. The filly had a seven-month spell off the track prior to that run which will have helped her cause tonight. The right man is in the plate and it’s worth keeping an eye on him with Blaze Brightly in the 6.55.

She hasn’t won over this distance before and will do very well to get home in front of the Weld/Smullen combo which puts Northern Rocked forward for a three-timer bid.

2pts win – Columbus Secret – Perth 2.50

Gordon Elliott’s Plan A duly obliged for us a short price yesterday at Perth and I think he’s bound to have at least another winner at the track this afternoon. I’d side with Hearthstead Dream, a course and distance winner, in the last over the probable favourite in the 3.20, Oscar’s Ballad. But I wouldn’t be surprised if both were in the money.

The second race on the card features COLUMBUS SECRET who won very handily at Southwell two weeks ago for the Reveleys. James is riding at a very high level right now and is really getting a tune out of anything he sits on. This lad will stay the trip and if his jumping isn’t too wayward we’ll be quids in.
