The Rugby World Cup is only a few weeks away as the excitement and anticipation among Irish fans is reaching fever pitch.
We imagine that some of your friends have managed to get tickets and are all smug by boasting about the fact they’ll be there excited about their trip but we’ve decided to help you with the next best thing.
Here are five items that we think you need to add to your living room for the Rugby World Cup.

1) Widescreen TV
Next to Ireland actually winning their matches, this is the most important thing for rugby fans because there’s nothing quite like watching a game in crisp, clear and jaw-dropping HD.
We suggest shopping around to suit your specific needs and budget, but when it comes to the size of the screen, we’re firm believers in the principle of ‘the bigger the better’.
The Panasonic Viera TX-40CX680B is a fine piece of kit and boasts 4k resolution spread over 40″ of LED TV. It also has Irish digital ready play, web browsing, streaming services and voice control.
At €919 it’s very good value when compared to some of the other options available and it lets you easily skip back through the TV guide to view shows that you might have missed, handy when all your attention is on the rugby.

2) Mini Fridge
You don’t want to miss a minute of the action and while your smart TV affords you the luxury of pausing live TV, you really don’t want to be walking back-and-forth to the kitchen for beer.
If you’ve €80 to spare then the Essentials CTT50W12 Mini Fridge might turn your head. Also, what person hasn’t dreamed of having a fridge next to their sofa?

3) Media Streamer
Variety is the spice of life and if you fancy seeing how different countries from around the world are reporting on the Rugby World Cup then a Slingbox M1 is the thing for you.
This is also very handy if your on the go because this transmits live or recorded TV via the internet to your smartphone, tablet or laptop.
With this you’ll have no excuse for missing any of the action.

4) Console
Unfortunately the matches must end at some stage but rather than send your mates home, why not play a few games on Xbox or PS4?

5) iPad or Laptop
Lets face it, the entire country is going to be absorbed with how Ireland fare in England because (whisper it) there’s a great chance that we can make a serious impact.
We all hope that Joe Schmidt’s men pick up a few wins and you’ll want to relive all those tries, tackles and drama with the best technology possible.

Before all the action kicks-off, you can make your dream living room become a reality by visiting Currys PC World and checking out their incredible array of tech.
