8 footballers that you completely forgot played for these teams

Huh?

Huh?

Every club will have its cult-heroes, icons and legends but a recent discussion about the demise of ‘one club men’ has got me thinking about those players whose time at a club was so brief that nobody remembers them, not even the fans.

Trust me, all of these moves happened although they’re very hard to remember.

Mineiro – Chelsea

Football flashback: It speaks volumes that Chelsea decided to give him a cameo in a League Cup match before they even introduced him to the press. Nobody knew him and nobody remembers him.

Ray Parlour – Hull City

Football flashback: “It’s only Ray Parlour” was probably the overriding mentality for Hull fans during his 15 match stint for the Tigers.

Sol Campbell at Newcastle

Football flashback: To be fair, he’s not the most forgetful footballer that has ever played at St James’ Park. Newcastle fans must have a few stories to tell about the countless obscure players that the club have signed.

Kim Kallstrom at Arsenal

Football flashback: So, we’re all in agreement then. Everyone knew that the midfielder was permanently crocked and Wenger still signed him.

Fabrice Fernandes at Bolton Wanderers

Football flashback:  He made almost a century of league appearances at Southampton but only managed to feature in a solitary match for the Trotters. He must have preferred the south coast.

Paul Parker – Chelsea

Football flashback: Let’s just dwell on the England international’s successful career at Manchester United and ignore those brief spells at Bramall Lane, Craven Cottage and Stamford Bridge.

Andy Cole at Sunderland

Football flashback: One of the best strikers in Premier League history because he managed to score goals wherever he went…apart from Sunderland.

Dino Baggio at Blackburn

Football flashback: Inter Milan, Juventus, Lazio and a loan move to Blackburn in ’03. I’d wager that not even he remembers this move.

There are countless other footballers who have slipped through the cracks so let us know which ones you remember…or don’t!

All this without even mentioning Pascal Chimbonda.
