A very, very angry Louis van Gaal has addressed the gathered media ahead of Manchester United’s clash with Stoke City on St. Stephen’s Day.
Van Gaal started off by asking whether anyone in the room would like to apologise to him over speculation on Tuesday that he had been fired.

The Dutchman gave a press conference that will be replayed over and over, and if United’s form doesn’t improve and he is replaced, he’s left quite the swansong.
“I feel the warmth and support of everybody in Carrington. But I didn’t feel that in the media. You can write about that subject, we are not in good position, but four weeks ago we were first in the division and in four weeks we can again be in that position.”
He stormed out after five minutes, but at least he remembered his manners.
“I only say now I’m focused on Stoke City and my players, I wish you a Merry Christmas, enjoy the wine and a mince pie.”
