Yesterday, we had the sicknote, the team-mate who will bathe in VapoRub the second he or she sneezes. No good in a battle, you’ll agree.
However, it’s possible to go the other way. To be too dedicated. To want to go training when the match you were about to play gets called off, as JOE reader Eoin Stanley was witness to this week.
He sent us in the team’s WhatsApp group message in which one of his over-eager buddies gets the almighty piss ripped out of him for being a bit too keen.
