One lad watched on in horror last night as he predicted all the right scoreslines on his Champions League accumulator, but just not in the right order, meaning he lost out on a whopping £1m.
We brought you the news about Simon Pike and his eight team, Champions League, correct score accumulator yesterday and after hearing the news we were all cheering for the man who was only two correct scores away from £1m.
Amazingly, Simon got all eight scorelines correct. However, his last prediction didn’t quite go to plan. He had guessed that Barcelona would beat AC Milan 2-0, but as we know now the Italian’s were the 2-0 victors.
You can’t help but feel sorry for the guy who was just shy of a life changing sum of money, but not all hope is lost as Coral, the bookmakers that Simon used to make the bet, tweeted out the following after the match…
