Now, now…
If you’ve been listening to Brian O’Driscoll’s radio analysis with ‘Off The Ball’ on Newstalk then you’ll know that Ireland’s record try scorer isn’t afraid to give his honest opinion on any subject. In a recent discussion, the former Lions captain was discussing the idea of Ian Madigan moving to Munster and how money can ultimately sway a players decision, citing the recent example of the Australian utility back Adam Ashley-Cooper moving to the unheralded Bordeaux in the Top 14.
It seems that news of O’Driscoll’s comments have reached the former Waratahs player and he didn’t take too kindly to them as seen by these online ‘pleasantries’.
Here’s their exchange on Twitter but O’Driscoll’s final word on the matter (for now) is very good.
Hi @BrianODriscoll. Regarding the below… I disagree. Strongly. pic.twitter.com/mUq9YY2uzv

@AdamCoopy that quote is incorrect. It should have said 'pension' instead of 'a bit of money'… And there's no shame in that!

@BrianODriscoll haha well i guess there's no shame in playing your last 2 seasons hanging on for cash then either?
